Accredited legionella testing for hotels and resorts, healthcare facilities, industrial cooling towers and residential complexes. We apply the ISO 11731 culture method, support your risk assessment and deliver bilingual reports suitable for international operators.
The Italian National Guidelines for Legionellosis (Linee Guida 2015), approved by the State–Regions Conference, are the reference framework for prevention and control. Operators must perform a documented risk assessment, define a control plan and verify it through laboratory testing. Local health authorities (ASL/ULSS) may inspect documentation and request additional sampling.
Hot and cold water networks, spa areas, distal taps and showers, calorifiers and recirculation loops.
Hospitals, nursing homes (RSA) and dental clinics, with sampling plans aligned with the Italian guidelines.
Cooling towers, evaporative condensers and humidification systems with biofilm risk indicators.
On request we deliver a documented risk assessment built around the property layout, water temperature regime, usage patterns and historical results. The document is suitable for local health authority inspections, internal compliance, insurance requirements and group standards.
Prices in EUR, excluding VAT and on-site sampling fees where applicable.
We apply the ISO 11731:2017 culture method, the international reference for the enumeration of Legionella spp. in water. Confirmation and serogrouping are performed for L. pneumophila serogroup 1 and serogroups 2–14.
Italian operators follow the National Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Legionellosis (Linee Guida 2015) approved by the State–Regions Conference. The guidelines define risk assessment requirements, sampling frequencies and corrective actions for hot and cold water systems, cooling towers and humidification networks.
A typical baseline is biannual sampling of representative points (distal taps, calorifier returns, dead legs), reinforced by a documented risk assessment. Higher-risk facilities (resorts with extensive piping, spa areas, healthcare contexts) often move to quarterly programmes.
Yes. We work with international hospitality groups that need uniform documentation across Italian properties, with bilingual reports, central account management and consolidated dashboards.
Yes. Cooling towers, evaporative condensers and humidification systems are sampled following the Italian guidelines and ISO 11731. We can also implement risk-based monitoring plans aligned with the European Working Group for Legionella Infections (ESGLI) recommendations.
The culture method requires up to 10 days of incubation. Standard reporting is therefore 7 to 10 working days. Where speed is critical, qPCR pre-screening can be added to detect contamination within 48 hours, with confirmation by culture.
